How to Become a Business Coach

Business Coach Marketing Over the Holidays Part 3: Get on the Phone

By on December 1, 2014

In the last couple of posts on business coach marketing over the holidays, parts 1 & 2, we’ve been talking about how you can attract and retain business coaching clients through the holiday season — a period of time that many think is “dead space” for the business services industry. However, throughout my career, November and December have proven to be just as profitable and productive as the rest of the year! If you’re new to the series, don’t forget to review the other posts I’ve already written to show you how I do it.

Position Yourself Properly and Respect Your Contracts, Add More Value

Today, I’m going to share another important strategy: Make Those “Silver Bullet” Calls!

While your clients might be taking some time off, you can use the spare time on your marketing efforts. Make your calls! This is the perfect time to ask prospects about how their year has gone and delve into their businesses in more depth. Shoot the relevant “Silver Bullets” as always and book Complimentary Coaching Sessions for the new year. That way you’ll have something to look forward to during the first week in January!

You see, contrary to popular belief, the end of the year is actually one of the best times to attract new clients. That’s because things are slowing down, and business owners have more time to reflect on their year and plan for the future. They’re in their offices more and out on the job site or in the warehouse less.

Use the slow-down to your advantage. Get on the phone and dial during the week between Christmas and New Year. You’ll be surprised at how many MORE contacts you’ll make during that time — as well as productive conversations.
